Journal of Biology publishes high-quality original research articles, review papers, and short communications. Submission of a manuscript to the journal confirms that the work is not under consideration elsewhere and has not been published previously, except in the form of a brief abstract. All authors must be aware of and approve the submission.
Manuscripts must be submitted as an email attachment in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) to the following email address:
editor@jbiology.com
Peer-review policy
Authors are expected to receive the reviewer’s comment within four weeks, followed by editorial verification. Incomplete manuscripts and papers not written according to instruction will be returned to the author without sending to reviewers. The revised manuscript should be returned.
Reprints
Authors will receive an electronic copy of their published article in Portable Document Format (PDF).
Article Processing Charge (APC)
The publication fee of $100 is payable upon acceptance of the manuscript after completion of the peer-review process.
Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

The text should be written in Arial font, size 12. The structure of the original research paper, short communication, and review paper should be organized in the following order:
Title Page
The title page must include:
A concise and informative title
Full names of all authors
Institutional affiliations and addresses
Valid email address of the corresponding author
Telephone and fax numbers (if available)
Abbreviations and Scientific Names
Abbreviations for long chemical or biological terms must be defined at first mention (e.g., DNA, PCR, NAA, PEG).
Scientific names (genus, species, authority, and cultivar where appropriate) must be written in full and italicized at first mention. The genus name may be abbreviated thereafter.
Units and Nomenclature
All measurements must follow the metric system.
Gene and protein nomenclature must follow international standards. Gene symbols and loci should be italicized and written in capital letters. Chemical and biochemical nomenclature must follow IUBMB recommendations. Sequence data must include accession numbers from recognized databases such as EMBL, GenBank, or the Protein Data Bank.
Tables and Figures
Tables should be placed at the end of the manuscript, numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals, and accompanied by concise, descriptive legends. They must be cited in the text.
Figures must be clear and informative, placed at the end of the manuscript, and numbered in Arabic numerals (e.g., Fig. 1; Fig. 1A). Each figure must have a precise legend and a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
Statistical Analysis
Appropriate statistical analysis must be performed where necessary. Manuscripts presenting biological data without statistical analysis will not be accepted.
